1. Who we are

Tortle Corp publishes the Pacific Emotions Gates mobile application ("App"), which allows authorised residents to open and manage access gates. For privacy enquiries, contact us at info@tortlecorp.com.

2. Data we collect

• Google account information — when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. This is used solely to identify your account within this App.
• Device identifiers — the MAC address of gate controllers you provision is stored to associate them with your account.
• Gate activity — timestamps of gate open events are logged on our server for security and audit purposes.
• Approximate location (Android only) — the operating system requires location permission to read the name of the connected Wi-Fi network when configuring a gate controller. We do not record or transmit your location.

3. How we use your data

• Authenticate you and authorise gate access.
• Associate gate controllers with your account.
• Maintain a security log of access events.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Bluetooth

The App uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to provision new gate controllers. No Bluetooth data is transmitted to our servers or stored beyond the provisioning session.

5. Data storage and security

Your account data is stored on our servers at pacificemotions.com, protected by TLS in transit and access controls at rest. Gate controller communication uses MQTT over TLS (port 8883).

6. Data retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Gate access logs are retained for 90 days. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting info@tortlecorp.com.

7. Third-party services

• Google Sign-In — governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

8. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at pacificemotions.com/privacy-gates. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
